Terms of service
The baseline terms for spicanet.net and Spicanet products.
Last updated: 7 October 2026. Draft — pending review by the site operator.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the baseline terms for the website spicanet.net and for the software, apps and online services published under the Spicanet name ("Products"). Spicanet is an independent product practice operated by Egor Danilov ("Spicanet", "we", "us"). Contact details are at the end of this page.
1. This website
spicanet.net is an informational directory of Spicanet-owned Products. It does not sell Products and has no checkout. Purchases, subscriptions and accounts are handled on each Product's own website or app.
2. Accepting the Terms
By using the website or a Product you agree to these Terms. If you use a Product on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it. If you do not agree, do not use the Product.
You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Products are not directed to children (see the privacy policy).
3. Accounts
- Give accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly at the address below if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You can delete your account at any time. See Account and data deletion.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others;
- attack, probe or overload a Product, bypass limits, or scrape it beyond what the Product allows;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive or sexually exploits minors;
- resell or sublicense a Product unless its terms say you may;
- use a Product to build a competing service by extracting its data or models;
- misuse AI features to generate content that is unlawful or harmful.
We may remove content or suspend access when these rules are broken.
5. Paid Products, prices and taxes
Some Products are free; others are paid or have paid plans. The price, billing period and what is included are shown at checkout before you pay.
5.1 Who sells to you
Payments are processed by the payment provider named at checkout:
| Channel | Who you are buying from | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Creem, Paddle or Lemon Squeezy | The provider acts as merchant of record and resells the Product to you under its own terms. | It collects payment, calculates and remits sales tax or VAT, handles invoices and receipts, and appears on your card statement. |
| PayPal | Spicanet, with PayPal processing the payment. | PayPal's user agreement and buyer-protection rules also apply. |
| Apple App Store or Google Play | Apple or Google processes the transaction for in-app purchases and subscriptions. | Purchases are managed, refunded and cancelled through the store. |
5.2 Prices and taxes
Prices include or exclude tax as shown at checkout. Tax such as VAT or sales tax is calculated for your location. We may change prices for future billing periods; we will notify you before a change affects an active subscription, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
6. Subscriptions, renewals and free trials
- A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
- Free trials convert to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before it does. The checkout shows the trial length and the price that follows.
- Cancel any time in the place where you subscribed: the customer portal link in your receipt (Creem, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy), your PayPal automatic-payments settings, or your Apple or Google subscription settings.
- You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, unless the Product states otherwise.
Deleting an app or an account does not cancel a subscription bought through a store or a payment provider. Cancel it first.
7. Refunds
Refunds are governed by the refund policy. Nothing in these Terms limits any right to a refund that you have under mandatory consumer law.
8. Mobile apps (Apple App Store and Google Play)
If you download a Spicanet app from the App Store or Google Play:
- These Terms are between you and Spicanet only — not with Apple or Google (the "App Store Provider"). Spicanet, not the App Store Provider, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Spicanet grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Provider's usage rules.
- The App Store Provider has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may notify the App Store Provider, which may refund the purchase price under its rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App Store Provider has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Spicanet, not the App Store Provider, is responsible for claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer-protection claims, and for intellectual property infringement claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country under a government embargo or designated as a "terrorist-supporting" country, and that you are not on a prohibited-party list.
- You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless provider's terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the Apple-store app and may enforce them against you once you accept them.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it as needed to operate the Product for you, and to create backups. This licence ends when the content or your account is deleted, apart from backups that expire on their normal schedule.
You are responsible for having the rights to what you submit. Do not submit data you are not allowed to share.
10. AI features
Some Products use AI models to generate or analyse content.
- Outputs may be wrong, incomplete or similar to other outputs. Check them before relying on them, especially for financial, legal, medical or safety decisions.
- AI features do not provide professional advice.
- Where a Product sends your data to a third-party AI provider, its privacy information says so, and we do not allow providers to train on your content where we control that choice.
11. Intellectual property
The Products, the Spicanet name and logo, and our content are protected by intellectual property laws. Other names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. Except for the licence to use a Product, these Terms give you no rights in them.
If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
12. Third-party services and links
Products link to and integrate with third-party services (for example payment providers, app stores, analytics and hosting). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or terms.
13. Beta, preview and research Products
Products marked Beta, In development, Research or similar may change, break or be withdrawn at any time. They are provided for evaluation.
14. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Products available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue a Product or feature. If we discontinue a paid Product, we will give notice and, where required by law or the Product's terms, refund the unused part of what you paid.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Products and this website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Informational content (including product descriptions, guides and rankings) is not professional advice.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spicanet is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Product is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that Product in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
17. Indemnity
If you are a business, you agree to defend and indemnify Spicanet against claims arising from your misuse of a Product or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
18. Suspension and termination
You may stop using a Product at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Product or other users. Where practical we will give notice and a chance to export your data. Sections that by nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law) continue to apply.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will change the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you through the Product or by email. Continued use after the change means you accept it.
20. Governing law and disputes
Unless a Product states otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
