SpicaCMS is a single-site, SEO-first CMS runtime. Each deployment runs one site on a Django backend and a Next.js frontend, managed through a fast, Bootstrap-based staff Control Panel — with no plugins required.

Templates are not themes

Generic CMS platforms treat templates as visual skins. In SpicaCMS a theme is visual styling, while a template pack is an entire data model, schema.org runtime and tailored editorial workspace.

Theme Template pack
Controls Colour tokens, typography, component styling Content types, relational models, URL hierarchies, schema.org types, editorial blocks
Data impact None — switch in one click without data loss Defines the data model itself
Example Dark mode, accent colour, card radius Destinations and itineraries versus products and criteria

Content template packs

Every template is an autonomous content model with tailored schema.org structures and dedicated Control Panel workspaces.

  • Editorial: Default blog, Magazine, Knowledge base, Research, Academy
  • Commerce and offers: Digital products, Coupons, Deals, Classifieds, Marketplace, Affiliate review
  • Business: Corporate, Lead generation, Portfolio, Real estate, Jobs, Directory, Events
  • Data and software: Data and database, Software directory and alternatives, Tools and calculators
  • Travel: Travel guide with destinations, places and multi-day itineraries — including interactive maps and a native schema.org runtime (TouristDestination, TouristAttraction, Trip)

Native SEO runtime

  • Schema.org JSON-LD — articles, destinations, product reviews and events output rich, validated graphs matching Google guidelines.
  • Automated sitemaps — multi-index XML sitemaps with image extensions, automatic lastmod and background regeneration via Celery.
  • Hreflang and multilingual — cross-language alternate links generated automatically for translated content groups.
  • Redirects — automatic 301 redirects when slugs change, plus custom redirect rules.

The site includes live demos of the templates, pricing and developer resources.

Is SpicaCMS multi-tenant?

No. It is a single-site runtime: one deployment, one site.
